VESTAS, WAX MATCHES

Preferred (BML&BS) terms: Vestas

Matches made from cotton (or some other kind of flammable wick), impregnated by paraffin (originally by wax, hence the name "wax matches"). Initially were produced in Italy. Still common in India and some African countries.

BML&BS definision: A type of match where the splint is made from cotton and wax common in Italy and Spain as well as other countries.
