Factory short history:
Gomel plywood and match plant exist for more than 120 years. It started as a small private manufacture ("Vesuvius" match factory) with ten workers, producing three thousands standard packing boxes a year. In 1929 mach making automates were installed. In April 1937 "Vesuvius" match factory and plywood factory were united into the "Gomel plywood and match plant". From 1957 the plant started production of pressed plywood furniture. In 1970 it was amalgamated into "Gomeldrev" Production Corporation. Today it is a separate private factory

The plant produces consumer matches in cardboard boxes with color print, souvenir matches and houshold matches (1700 sticks in the box)
