"Kometa" match factory
"Kometa" match factory started production in 1914. In 1992 the factory was privatized into AS "Kometa" .
In the last years the factory has gone through big changes. There were reconstructed and built new production buildings and warehouses; production equipment changed to modern Swedish and German production lines. "Kometa" is now the biggest producer of matches in Latvian and Baltic states.
The factory now produces common matches in exclusive aspen boxes with labels, household, bonfire matches, promotional matches (deluxe and eurohotel) and cabinet matches in cardboard boxes.
